Lance Lawson

Lance Lawson is a distinguished finance professional with extensive expertise in business development, tax advisement, and investment strategy. Currently serving as a Business Development Consultant at The Sovereign Group, Lance excels in delivering bespoke services tailored to businesses and individuals seeking to navigate international markets and optimize tax efficient structures.

With over 15 years of experience in the offshore financial sector, 7 of which came from providing trust and corporate services in Monaco, Lance is considered a specialist in cross-border structuring and tax matters. His current role involves offering comprehensive support and guidance on international tax planning and offshore estate structuring, underscored by his proficiency with the latest legislative standards.

An accredited Trust and Estate Practitioner, Lance holds a Higher Diploma in International Trust Management and is a full member with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is a member of the South African Institution of Taxation (SAIT) and is also a Certified Financial Planning professional, having graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from Stellenbosch Business School. Lance is a Bachelor of Commerce Honours graduate from Rhodes University, having majored in Information Systems, Commercial Law and Economics.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Lance is dedicated to community service, having actively participated as Chairman and Co-Trustee of a charitable trust, aiding children with cerebral palsy in South Africa. He also likes to play golf.
