As the difficulties created by the Covid-19 pandemic continue to impact businesses and people all over the world, much of Europe now seems to experiencing a second wave of coronavirus and the governments of European countries are each responding in their own way.
It is even more important at times like this for Sovereign to be available for our clients and to respond quickly. Our group has evolved effectively to a very different way of working. At the height of the crisis in the Spring, we had over 400 of our 475 staff worldwide working from home – and companies were still incorporated, trusts established, pensions set up, payments were made, and contracts and agreements were signed.
This was a fantastic achievement. We are currently offering staff the option of working from the office – which have been risk-assessed to be Covid-secure and occupancy levels adjusted to ensure social distancing – or to continue working remotely, or a combination of both.
Likewise, we are also offering our clients the choice in how they wish to contact us and communicate with us, be it over the phone, by email, via video calls or, if and where possible, with face-to-face meetings. We have also had an excellent response to our series of online webinars.
This global humanitarian and economic crisis has forced individuals and companies to rapidly change how they live and work. Many elements of business and life are being challenged and the situation remains extremely fluid. The ‘next normal’ may look very different as new ways of working are carried over into the future, but rest assured that Sovereign will always put the best interests of our clients – their safety, security and convenience – at the forefront of everything we do.
