About International Retirement Plans (IRPs)
Sovereign has developed the Conservo International Retirement Plan (IRP) as a flexible and tax efficient savings vehicle for internationally mobile individuals wishing to optimise planning possibilities whilst working overseas.
Conservo is a Guernsey-based multi-member Retirement Annuity Trust Scheme (RATS), which qualifies for an exemption from Guernsey Income Tax under Section 40(ee) of the Income Tax (Guernsey) Law 1975, as amended. Conservo is open solely to non-Guernsey resident members is designed with three entry levels tiered to suit a variety of retirement planning budgets.
The trustee of the plan is Sovereign Trust (Guernsey) Limited, a trust company licensed and regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.

The Joint International Retirement Plan
Sovereign can also establish a bespoke multi-member retirement annuity trust scheme, the Joint International Retirement Plan, for individuals who are resident outside of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. This would also qualify for an exemption from Guernsey income tax, should this be preferred.
